Areca Palm Leaf Dishes
Via it's LilLeaf brand, HeyJute™ offers cutlery, cups, plates, dishes and food trays made out of Areca Leaves which are 100% biodegradable and compostable. Unlike most "compostable" materials out there, these dishes do not require a special composting facility to biodegrade as they are literally a leaf. These hygienic, non-odorous, non-toxic, light weight products are environment friendly. An economical disposable alternative for all catering occasions.
These are a great replacement for styrofoam and toxic bagasse (sugar cane) produce trays for vegetables and fruits and eventually also meat! We are working with Deboer's Foods to develop a meat tray solution that will break down at home!
