HeyJute's line of branded products are made by Women's Self-Help Groups in India.  These underprivileged women are given low interest loans by the government to help facilitate purchasing their machines, get education, and are empowered to stand independently.  The women are paid fair wages and live in a community near eachother.   They have weekly meetings where they share their personal experiences and often help eachother out when in need.  By way of our sales and your support, HeyJute is currently able to empower 15-20 such women to help themselves.  When life didn't give them a choice, these women choose to help themselves.  Their choice inspired us at HeyJute to take the ethical route.
